Job Title: Sales Executive
Location: Madhavaram, Chennai
Job Description: We are looking for a high-energy Sales Executive with an FMCG background to drive global sales growth. This role is ideal for a proactive, confident, and target-driven individual who can handle international clients, initiate sales conversations, and independently build and execute sales strategies.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. International Sales & Client Handling:
- Handle international client communication via calls, emails, and virtual meetings.
- Identify and approach global buyers through outbound calls, digital platforms, and referrals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international customers.
- Identify and develop new customers - distributors, retailers, traders, wholesalers, food manufacturers, exporters.
2. Lead Generation & Sales Execution:
- Generate and qualify leads and build a healthy sales pipeline.
- Follow up consistently with prospects and convert opportunities into orders.
- Take ownership of the sales cycle from first contact to order confirmation.
3. Sales Strategy & Growth:
- Independently plan and implement sales strategies to achieve targets.
- Identify new markets, buyer segments, and sales opportunities.
- Share market feedback and sales insights with management.
- Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions and business networking events
4. Pricing & Coordination:
- Support pricing discussions and basic negotiation with clients.
- Coordinate internally with operations and logistics teams to ensure feasibility of sales commitments.
- Maintain clarity on INCOTERMS during client discussions.
5. CRM & Reporting:
- Track market prices, competitor activities and customer feedback regularly
- Prepare daily and weekly sales activity reports and maintain customer records
Eligibility Criteria:
- 1 - 3 years of sales experience in food industry, FMCG, Agro products, commodity trading or export
- Strong understanding of both local distribution and export sales process
- Existing network with traders, wholesalers, distributors or exporters is a big advantage
- Self motivated, target driven and comfortable with field sales
- Familiarity with dehydrated food products, spices or agricultural commodities is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Global Business, Marketing, Commerce, or related fields.
- Good understanding of INCOTERMS, global pricing, and trade fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools, dashboards, Excel / Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and leadership teams.
