Role Description The PLC Programmer will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, and commissioning PLC-based control systems for industrial automation projects. Day-to-day tasks include developing ladder logic and other PLC code, configuring HMIs, troubleshooting system issues, and modifying programs to improve performance and reliability. The role involves working closely with project engineers and technicians to understand process requirements, create control strategies, and support installation and startup at client sites. Documentation of programs, preparing technical reports, and providing end-user training and support are also part of the role. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or similar platforms) and HMI/SCADA configuration.
- Solid understanding of industrial automation, control systems, instrumentation, and electrical panels.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
- Experience with testing, debugging, and commissioning automation systems at client locations.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to safety and quality standards.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional project teams and customers.
- Relevant engineering diploma or degree (e.g., Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics) or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in industrial automation projects, especially in manufacturing, process, or OEM environments, is an advantage.
Pay: ₹12,206.17 - ₹46,373.48 per month
