We are looking for a results-driven Senior PPC Engineer with strong experience in metal manufacturing processes including welding, fabrication, laser cutting, and press brake operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end production planning, scheduling, and control, ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently and meet delivery timelines, quality standards, and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and machine capacity.
· Coordinate and monitor production activities across welding, fabrication, laser cutting, and press brake departments.
· Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery to meet production targets.
· Track and analyze WIP (Work In Progress), raw material consumption, and machine loading for continuous improvement.
· Interface with procurement, quality, design, and sales teams to align production goals with delivery commitments.
· Maintain and update the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
· Review engineering drawings and BOMs to ensure planning accuracy and minimize material shortages.
· Monitor process lead times, identify bottlenecks, and recommend solutions to improve throughput and efficiency.
· Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for planning-related delays or issues.
· Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve workflow.
· Generate and present production performance reports (OEE, adherence, delivery performance, etc.) to management.
Requirements:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
· Minimum 5–8 years of experience in PPC within a metal manufacturing environment.
· Hands-on experience with fabrication workflows including welding, CNC laser cutting, press brake forming, and assembly operations.
· Knowledge of raw material planning for sheet metal, structural steel, and associated consumables (e.g., welding wires, gases).
Skills:
· Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems .
· Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and inventory control.
· Ability to interpret technical drawings and fabrication schematics.
· Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
· Proficient in MS Excel, MS Project, and other planning tools.
