Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) Developer
Role Overview:
Seeking a detail-oriented AJO Developer to support the execution and technical setup of cross-channel marketing campaigns. You will be responsible for the day-to-day build of journeys, message templating, and segment validation within Adobe Journey Optimizer. You will work closely with Senior Architects to transform campaign briefs into functional, automated workflows across Email, SMS, and Push.
Key Responsibilities:
- Journey Building: Build and test end-to-end customer journeys based on provided technical blueprints, ensuring correct logic, wait times, and split paths.
- Message Production: Develop and maintain responsive message templates for Email, SMS, and Push. Assist in the technical configuration of Direct Mail triggers.
- Dynamic Personalization: Utilize Expression Editor and Handlebars to implement basic to mid-level personalization (e.g., if/else logic based on profile attributes).
- Segment Validation: Work within AEP to validate that segments are populating correctly and that the right profiles are entering the intended journeys.
- Offer Decisioning Support: Assist in the setup of Offer Management components, including placements, rules, and collections for automated content delivery.
- QA & Troubleshooting: Perform rigorous testing of journeys in sandbox environments, identifying and fixing broken links, personalization errors, or logic gaps before deployment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 4+ years in MarTech; 2+ years of dedicated hands-on experience in Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO).
- Execution Skills: Proven ability to deploy multi-channel campaigns (Email/SMS/Push) and an understanding of how AJO interacts with the AEP Real-time Customer Profile.
- Technical Basics: Strong command of HTML/CSS for email and basic understanding of JSON structures. Familiarity with SQL or Query Service is a plus.
- Data Awareness: Basic understanding of XDM Schemas and how data flows from Web/Mobile SDKs into AJO.
- Precision: High attention to detail with a test-first mindset to ensure error-free campaign launches.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Adobe Certified Professional in Adobe Journey Optimizer.
- API Knowledge: Experience using Postman or similar tools to test API-triggered messages.
- Asset Management: Experience managing creative assets within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets or similar DAMs.
- Documentation: Ability to document journey logic and technical mapping for future reference and team training.
