Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Technical Engineer –Presales to bridge customer business requirements with technical solution design. The ideal candidate will work directly with customers to understand business needs, perform technical and functional requirement analysis, prepare project scope and solution documentation, address all technical and business-related queries, and support the complete presales lifecycle until project handover.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Requirement Analysis
· Meet customers to understand business objectives, operational workflows, and challenges.
· Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and technical requirements.
· Conduct requirement workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions.
· Analyze existing business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
· Recommend suitable technology solutions based on customer requirements.
Technical Business Analysis
· Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
· Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), and User Stories.
· Define system workflows, process diagrams, use cases, and solution architecture.
· Perform gap analysis, feasibility studies, and impact assessments.
· Work closely with development teams to ensure solution feasibility and alignment.
Technical Presales
· Support the sales team during customer meetings and solution discussions.
· Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts (POCs).
· Prepare technical proposals, commercial support documents, and solution presentations.
· Respond to customer technical and business-related enquiries throughout the sales cycle.
· Prepare responses for RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and tender submissions.
· Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and internal technical teams.
Scope Preparation & Solution Design
· Prepare detailed Scope of Work (SOW) documents- fully technical.
· Define project scope, deliverables, assumptions, exclusions, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
· Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM), implementation plans, and effort estimations.
· Identify project risks and recommend mitigation plans.
· Ensure smooth project handover to implementation and delivery teams.
Stakeholder Management
· Serve as the technical point of contact for customers during the presales phase.
· Coordinate with customers, project managers, developers, QA teams, and management.
· Clarify functional and technical queries throughout the project lifecycle.
· Support UAT, solution validation, and implementation planning.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related discipline.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in Technical Presales, Technical Business Analysis, Solution Consulting, or System Integration.
· Strong experience in customer requirement gathering and technical requirement analysis.
· Proven expertise in preparing BRD, FRS, SRS, SOW, technical proposals, and solution documentation.
· Strong understanding of SDLC, software architecture, APIs, databases, networking, and enterprise applications.
· Excellent communication, presentation, documentation, and analytical skills.
