DATA ENGINEER
THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to establish, build, and manage our enterprise data platform within our Microsoft environment.
Core Workloads: Combines Data Factory (data integration), Synapse (data engineering/warehousing), Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI (visualization) into one workflow
You will integrate data from our operational systems into a centralised, secure, and scalable data platform that supports reporting, business intelligence, automation, and future AI and machine learning initiatives.
Working closely with AI and Data Manager, our Power BI Analyst, and AI/ML Engineer, you will ensure the organisation has trusted, high-quality data to support informed decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integration solutions.
- Connect data from multiple operational and business systems into a centralised enterprise data platform.
- Design and maintain modern data warehouse and data lake solutions.
- Develop reliable data models to support reporting and analytics.
- Implement data quality, validation, monitoring, and governance processes.
- Ensure data Cyber security, compliance, and appropriate access controls.
- Optimise data platform performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement version control, testing, and deployment best practices.
- Create clear technical documentation and maintain data standards.
- Prepare clean, governed, and AI-ready datasets for machine learning and advanced analytics.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver practical data solutions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Essential
- 7 years' experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or data engineering.
- Strong experience designing and supporting production data pipelines.
- Experience working within Microsoft cloud data environments.
- Advanced SQL skills.
- Strong Python or equivalent programming skills for data integration and automation.
- Experience integrating enterprise systems through databases, APIs, or cloud services.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and ETL/ELT principles.
- Experience with source control and deployment practices.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and data quality.
- Ability to work independently and make sound technical and architectural decisions.
- Strong communication.
Desirable
- Microsoft certifications or other relevant cloud certifications.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Surat, Gujarat (Surat)
