About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Sr Project Engineer – Fire Protection Systems to join our team in Chennai. You will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of fire protection system projects — from design coordination and installation to commissioning and handover — ensuring full compliance with safety codes and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and monitor fire protection system projects (sprinklers, fire alarms, suppression systems, hydrants)
- Coordinate with design engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely project delivery
- Review drawings, BOQs, and technical submittals related to fire protection systems
- Ensure compliance with NBC, NFPA, and other applicable fire safety standards and local regulations
- Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and testing & commissioning activities
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation
- Liaise with statutory authorities for approvals and NOCs
- Identify and resolve technical issues during project execution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Fire & Safety / Electrical Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in fire protection system projects
- Knowledge of NFPA standards (NFPA 13, 14, 72), NBC guidelines, and TAC regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit or similar tools is a plus
- Strong project management, coordination, and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MEP coordination and BIM workflows
- Prior exposure to commercial, industrial, or data center fire protection projects
