Job Brief
Study Alpha Academy is looking for a dedicated and student-focused Student Counsellor to guide students and parents regarding academic programmes, courses, competitive-exam preparation, admissions, and career-oriented learning opportunities.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to understand student requirements and recommend suitable courses.
Area of Work
- Student counselling and course guidance
- Handling enquiries from students and parents
- Explaining course structure, fees, duration, and learning facilities
- Understanding students’ academic goals and recommending suitable programmes
- Following up with prospective students
- Assisting students through the admission and enrolment process
- Maintaining regular communication with leads and prospective students
- Coordinating with the academic and admissions teams
- Maintaining basic records of enquiries, follow-ups, and admissions
- Supporting promotional and educational counselling activities when required
Scope of Work
The Student Counsellor will be responsible for managing student enquiries from the initial interaction through the admission process. The role involves counselling students based on their academic needs, building trust with students and parents, explaining programme benefits clearly, and ensuring timely follow-up.
The position offers scope to develop expertise in student counselling, academic guidance, admissions, communication, relationship management, and education-sector operations.

- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Good counselling and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate confidently with students and parents
- Basic knowledge of competitive examinations and academic programmes
- Good follow-up and relationship-management skills
- Target-oriented and responsible approach
- Previous experience in education counselling or admissions will be an advantage
