JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect – Data & AI to design enterprise data and conversational AI architectures using modern cloud data platforms.
The role focuses on enterprise data modelling, semantic architecture, reusable solution architecture patterns, trusted and governed data products, self-service analytics, and conversational AI.
The candidate will translate enterprise architecture standards into scalable solution designs, reusable architecture patterns, reference designs, and technical guidance. The role involves working closely with engineering, analytics, AI, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are trusted, governed, reusable, and scalable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create enterprise data models and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) to support trusted and scalable data products.
- Design semantic architectures using Databricks Metric Views to support trusted data, analytics, and self-service analytics.
- Design Databricks Genie solution architectures to enable conversational AI and analytics.
- Design scalable solution architectures for modern data and AI platforms using Databricks.
- Define and promote enterprise standards for data products, data modelling, Medallion Architecture, DBT, Unity Catalog, and modern data engineering.
- Define reusable semantic engineering and architecture patterns that support trusted analytics and conversational AI.
- Create reusable architecture patterns, reference designs, technical standards, and implementation guidance.
- Design semantic models and architecture patterns that enable trusted data, self-service analytics, and conversational AI.
- Define architecture patterns that support governed, scalable, and reusable data products.
- Guide engineering and delivery teams in adopting enterprise architecture standards, patterns, and best practices.
- Enable delivery teams to independently build trusted and governed data products using established architecture standards and reusable patterns.
- Lead architecture reviews, solution design workshops, and technical discussions.
- Conduct architecture office hours to provide ongoing technical guidance and support to delivery teams.
- Provide technical coaching and guidance on enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and enterprise architecture requirements into scalable technical solutions.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise solution architecture or modern cloud data platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, DBT, Unity Catalog, SQL, and Python.
- Deep understanding of dimensional modelling, semantic modelling, Medallion Architecture, and data product design.
- Experience designing enterprise-scale data architectures and modern cloud data solutions.
- Experience creating reusable architecture patterns, reference designs, and implementation guidance.
- Experience with semantic engineering frameworks and semantic layer architecture.
- Strong understanding of data governance and trusted data products.
- Experience designing scalable and governed data solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership skills.
- Ability to lead architecture reviews, design workshops, technical discussions, and technical coaching sessions.
- Ability to guide delivery teams in adopting enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering, analytics, AI, and technology teams.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Experience designing semantic architectures using Databricks Metric Views.
