Hindi Teacher –
Role
To teach Hindi across different grade levels, helping students develop strong language skills, communication abilities, and an appreciation of Indian language, literature, and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Hindi lessons aligned with Cambridge, IB, CBSE, and ICSE curricula as applicable.
- Teach reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary skills.
- Develop students’ comprehension, communication, and creative expression in Hindi.
- Introduce age-appropriate Hindi literature, stories, poetry, and cultural topics.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, learning materials, and classroom activities.
- Encourage participation in language-based events, competitions, and cultural programmes.
- Support students with different learning needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with academic and pastoral teams to enhance student learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate or Postgraduate Degree in Hindi, Languages, Education, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Cambridge, IB, CBSE, or ICSE curriculum is preferred.
- Excellent command of spoken and written Hindi.
- Good classroom management and communication skills.
- Passionate, patient, student-focused, and creative in teaching.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Rashtrabhasha Visharad / Rashtrabhasha Ratna certification.
- Praveen, Parangat, or equivalent Hindi language proficiency certifications from recognised institutions.
- B.Ed. / M.Ed. with Hindi as a teaching methodology subject.
- Hindi language teaching certification or diploma from a recognised university or institution.
- CTET/TET qualification with Hindi specialisation will be an added advantage.
