Assist in designing rooftop PV system layouts using AutoCAD and SolarGraf tools.
Support array placement, inverter selection, and string sizing based on site and electrical constraints.
Conduct remote site assessments using provided site survey images and satellite imagery. Generate array layout, shade reports, and basic site assessments from provided site survey photos.
Draft permit-ready plan sets including site plans, roof layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and electrical details.
Ensure compliance with NEC 2017/2020 and applicable local codes under the guidance of senior engineers.
Must have knowledge of NEM (Net Energy Metering), Export, Non-export and California solar rules and regulations.
Must have knowledge of Tesla and Enphase battery storage systems.
Maintain organized project documentation and update design inputs on salesforce.
Collaborate with U.S. teams via Microsoft teams, Zoom, and email to incorporate feedback and design changes.
Participate in internal training on NEC, NEM policies, U.S. permiƫng standards, and best practices.
Conduct internal quality checks of design packages before final submission.
Track assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and report progress to senior team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
1–2 years of experience in solar PV & ESS System design.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Aurora Solar or SolarGraf.
Good understanding of solar PV systems and electrical components.
Knowledge of NEC/CEC code is a must.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced solar design team.
Ability to work independently with strong self-research capabilities
