Position: IT Administrator

Job Summary:
The IT Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring system availability, security, and performance. This includes managing server configurations, cloud services, overseeing vendor and asset management, and providing IT support to end-users. A key focus will be on network security, particularly the maintenance of Sophos Firewall, remote security management for devices, and file-sharing protocols to safeguard sensitive data.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain server configurations, installations, and ongoing maintenance across both cloud and on-premises data centers.

Oversee user account management, permissions, and access control according to company IT policies.

Ensure regular system backups and implement disaster recovery protocols.

Manage and secure network systems, focusing on the maintenance of Sophos Firewall and ensuring secure file-sharing protocols.

Monitor and secure remote access for devices, ensuring data protection compliance.

Lead cybersecurity initiatives aimed at device security, remote access control, and overall data protection.

Manage relationships with IT vendors, ensuring timely product and service delivery.

Evaluate, select, and oversee vendors for hardware, software, and IT services.

Monitor vendor performance and service level agreements (SLAs).

Oversee procurement, inventory management, and lifecycle tracking of IT assets (hardware and software).

Ensure proper documentation of assets such as warranties, licenses, and service records.

Ensure asset disposal aligns with company policies and compliance standards.

Manage and maintain all IT hardware, including servers, workstations, network devices, and peripherals.

Ensure regular maintenance and troubleshoot hardware issues to minimize downtime.

Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware and coordinate repairs and replacements.

Oversee the installation, configuration, and management of software applications in line with business needs.

Maintain an up-to-date inventory of software licenses and subscriptions, ensuring compliance and timely renewals.

Ensure timely software patching and updates to maintain system functionality and security.

Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.

Develop and implement IT training programs to improve user proficiency.

Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting IT-related problems.

Project & Change Management

Lead IT projects, such as system upgrades and technology deployment, ensuring smooth transitions.

Manage change requests and ensure minimal disruption to services.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for the successful implementation of IT initiatives.

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with data protection regulations through audits and assessments.

Maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems, network configurations, and operational procedures.

Ensure adherence to internal and external standards in all IT processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in IT system administration, network management, and cybersecurity.

Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, CISSP, etc.) are preferred.

Skills:

Proficiency in managing cloud services, network hardware, and software management.

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory compliance.

Experience with Sophos Firewall and Remote Security Management for devices and file-sharing protocols.
