Job brief
The EXIM Coordinator will execute delivery and logistics activities for ocean liner and air, ensuring on time shipment from the plants and on time delivery to the customer. In addition to the day-to-day SAP transactions, the Shipment Coordinator also works on resolving any transportation delays, equipment challenges or other issues that may impact on time delivery to the customer. This shipment Coordinator will interface with their counterparts in Customer Service to meet productivity and quality metrics thereby ensuring a seamless order-to-deliver process resulting in excellent customer service. Responsibilities:
->Manage delivery and logistics activities for air and ocean shipments to include booking, loading, and documentation including track and tracing shipments.
->Coordinate with warehouse personnel, local carriers and freight forwarders to ensure safe on time delivery to customer for ocean liner and air.
->Assist with the investigation of quality failures and the development of preventive and corrective actions to prevent future re-occurrences.
->Resolve transportation delays, equipment challenges or other issues that may impact on-time delivery.
->Coordinate all load, shipment and traffic processes with local plant. personnel to ensure safe on time delivery to customer for ocean liner and air.
-0>Ensure adherence to all SOP’s and controls related to Safety and Compliance, including trade compliance, customs compliance, transportation and logistics regulations, Sarbanes Oxley, Dangerous Goods regulations, Responsible Care and ISO 9000.
->Track the desk metrics defined for on time shipping and on time delivery and provide a root cause analysis and corrective action plan for those falling outside of the allowable tolerances.
->Assist with resolution of freight invoice discrepancies. Assist with the investigation of quality failures and the development of preventive and corrective actions to prevent future re-occurrences.
Requirements:
->Proven good Experience as EXIM Co-Ordinator.
->Knowledge of the documentation procedures and policies for export/import Knowledge of Pre/ Post Import-Export Documentation
->Excellent communication and people skills Ability to work in a Team.
->Good computer skills - should be able to form reports and spreadsheets as per requirements
