About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Sales & Marketing Manager to drive business growth for our knitted fabric division. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of knitted fabrics, extensive industry relationships and the ability to lead a sales team while coordinating closely with production to ensure timely execution and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
● Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
● Identify new business opportunities across garment manufacturers, institutional buyers., ● Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers. ● Expand market presence across India through strategic customer acquisition.
Marketing
● Develop marketing initiatives to promote the company's fabric portfolio.
● Monitor market trends, customer preferences, competitor activities and emerging opportunities.
● Introduce new fabric developments based on market demand.
● Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions and customer meetings. Customer Relationship Management
● Handle key customer accounts and negotiate commercial terms.
● Ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive communication and timely issue resolution.
● Coordinate with customers on product development, approvals, sampling and production timelines. Production Coordination
● Work closely with the Production, Planning and Quality teams to ensure timely execution of customer orders.
● Understand knitting processes, dyeing, finishing and fabric quality parameters.
● Coordinate delivery schedules to meet customer commitments. Team Leadership
● Lead and mentor the regional sales and marketing team.
● Monitor team performance.
● Conduct regular sales reviews and implement improvement plans.
Qualifications
● Graduate in Textile/ Apparel/ Fashion field (preferred).
● MBA in Marketing will be an added advantage. Experience
● Minimum 10 years of experience in fabric sales and marketing.
● Proven track record in business development within the textile industry.
● Experience handling Pan-India customers and key accounts.
Technical Skills
● Strong understanding of knitted fabrics, yarns, dyeing, finishing, and fabric production.
● Knowledge of garment manufacturing processes.
● Ability to coordinate with production and planning teams.
● Good understanding of fabric costing and pricing. Required Skills
