About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Manager to lead automation projects for our AI Vision solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in industrial automation, PLC programming, robotic integration, mechanical design coordination, and project execution. This role requires close collaboration with customers, robotic partners, fabrication vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver end-to-end automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Automation related deliverables to ensure timely delivery with right quality
- Design, develop, and implement industrial automation solutions for AI Vision-based products.
- Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs for automated production systems.
- Coordinate and manage robotic partners for system integration and commissioning.
- Prepare, review, and maintain automation project schedules to ensure timely execution.
- Manage relationships with automation vendors, fabrication partners, and system integrators.
- Interpret and review STEP files, CAD models, and mechanical drawings for fabrication and assembly.
- Coordinate fabrication activities and ensure design compliance with manufacturing standards.
- Work closely with AI, Vision, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software teams to integrate complete automation solutions.
- Evaluate and implement modern automation tools to improve productivity and manufacturing efficiency.
- Monitor project timelines, milestones, risks, and resource allocation.
- Track engineering progress through effective time tracking, project planning, and reporting.
- Assign engineering tasks, monitor deliverables, and ensure timely completion by team members.
- Support installation, commissioning, testing, and validation of automation systems at customer sites.
- Maintain project documentation, BOMs, electrical schematics, and technical reports.
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and industrial automation standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior automation engineers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, or machine automation.
- Strong expertise in PLC Programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Beckhoff, Delta, etc.).
- Experience with industrial robotics (ABB, FANUC, Universal Robots, KUKA, Yaskawa, Epson, or similar).
- Hands-on experience in automation project execution and machine commissioning.
- Good understanding of industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and OPC-UA.
- Experience working with STEP files, CAD software, and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of mechanical design coordination and manufacturing processes.
- Strong project management and scheduling skills.
- Experience managing external vendors, robotic partners, and fabrication teams.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in AI Vision, Machine Vision, Industrial Inspection, or Smart Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of servo systems, motion control, HMI, SCADA, and industrial IoT.
- Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other CAD software.
- Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Asana, or Microsoft Project.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 concepts.
Pay: ₹723,949.93 - ₹1,501,447.53 per year
