Role Summary: Responsible for managing the public image, media relations, and communication activities of Shivalik College of Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and monitor the functioning of digital video walls across the campus.
Ensure daily updates of news, academic events, achievements, admissions information, and important notices.
Coordinate with IT and content teams for uninterrupted display and technical support.
Media Liaison & Public Relations Facilitate press coverage for academic events, convocations, seminars, rankings, MoUs, placements, and achievements.
Draft and circulate press releases, media briefs, and official statements with prior approval of competent authority.
Coordinate with vendors for outdoor publicity, including hoardings, flex banners, standees, posters, and transit advertisements.
Social Media Management
Manage and update the institution’s official social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
Branding & Institutional Image Building
Event Publicity & Coverage
Disseminate important announcements, achievements, and updates to students, faculty, and staff through digital platforms.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain records of media coverage, advertisements, social media analytics, and publicity expenditures.
Prepare periodic reports for submission to the management/administration.
Compliance & Coordination
Ensure all publicity material complies with UGC, regulatory, and institutional guidelines.
Coordinate with Admissions, Academics, IQAC, Training & Placement, and Administration for content accuracy.
Qualification & Skills:
Graduate/Postgraduate in Mass Communication, PR, Journalism, MBA or related field
Good communication and writing skills Basic knowledge of media, social media, and event coordination
Experience in the education sector preferred
Experience: 1–3 years (freshers with relevant skills may apply)
