JOB DESCRIPTION – IT EXECUTIVE (HOSPITAL NETWORKING & IT SUPPORT)
Position Title

Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or related field.
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, Network+, or equivalent preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Hospital IT Infrastructure Management.
- Experience in Hospital Information System (HIS), Networking, Hardware, and User Support preferred.
Purpose of Position
To ensure uninterrupted functioning of the hospital's IT infrastructure, networking systems, Hospital Information System (HIS), security systems, and end-user support services while maintaining data confidentiality, availability, and integrity.
Key ResponsibilitiesA. Network Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity across the hospital.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and network security devices.
- Ensure uninterrupted internet and intranet connectivity throughout the hospital.
- Manage IP addressing, VLAN configuration, and network segmentation.
- Maintain network diagrams and infrastructure documentation.
B. Hospital Information System (HIS) Support
- Provide technical support for HIS, EMR, PACS, LIS, RIS, and other healthcare applications.
- Coordinate with software vendors for issue resolution and upgrades.
- Create and manage user accounts and access permissions.
- Ensure smooth integration between hospital departments and information systems.
- Assist users in troubleshooting software-related issues.
C. Hardware & System Management
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, biometric devices, and peripherals.
- Perform preventive maintenance of all IT equipment.
- Coordinate repairs and replacement of faulty hardware.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and software licenses.
- Ensure functionality of barcode printers, label printers, and patient registration systems.
D. Server & Data Management
- Monitor server performance and uptime.
- Perform regular data backup and restoration activities.
- Maintain storage systems and backup devices.
- Ensure security and confidentiality of hospital data.
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
E. Information Security
- Implement cybersecurity measures and antivirus protection.
- Monitor unauthorized access attempts and security incidents.
- Ensure compliance with hospital information security policies.
- Maintain user access control and password management.
- Conduct regular security updates and patch management.
F. CCTV, Biometric & Communication Systems
- Manage CCTV surveillance systems and recording backups.
- Maintain biometric attendance systems.
- Support IP telephony, intercom, nurse call systems, and communication networks.
- Coordinate troubleshooting of communication equipment.
G. Technical Support & Helpdesk
- Provide timely IT support to all departments.
- Resolve user complaints related to hardware, software, network, and printing issues.
- Maintain IT complaint logs and service records.
- Provide technical guidance and training to hospital staff.
H. Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain IT policies, SOPs, manuals, and records as per NABH requirements.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and confidentiality regulations.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and service reports.
- Prepare monthly IT performance and downtime reports.
I. Vendor Management
- Coordinate with internet service providers, software vendors, and equipment suppliers.
- Monitor Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and warranty records.
- Follow up for timely service and preventive maintenance.

- IT complaint resolution within defined TAT.
- Successful completion of scheduled data backups.
- Zero major data security breaches.
- Completion of preventive maintenance as per schedule.
- User satisfaction with IT support services.
- Timely implementation of software and security updates.
Responsibilities for NABH Compliance
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.
- Support digital record management and data retention requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and risk assessments.
- Maintain all IT-related records required for NABH accreditation.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
