Job Description: FP&A Senior Analyst
Role Overview
The FP&A Senior Analyst plays a key role in financial planning, analysis, and strategic support. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality financial insights, driving forecasting accuracy, and partnering with business leaders to improve financial performance and support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Forecasting
Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
Develop and maintain financial models for planning and projections
Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis with actionable insights
2. Financial Analysis & Reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue, cost, margins, and profitability
Identify key trends, risks, and opportunities impacting business performance
3. Business Partnering
Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, HR)
Provide financial guidance and support to business stakeholders
Translate complex financial data into clear business insights
4. Strategic Support
Support strategic planning and business initiatives
Perform scenario analysis, forecasting, and sensitivity modeling
Evaluate business cases, investments, and cost optimization initiatives
5. Process Improvement & Automation
Drive enhancements in reporting processes and financial models
Automate reports using Excel, Power BI, or other tools
Improve data accuracy, consistency, and efficiency
6. Governance & Controls
Ensure adherence to financial policies and internal controls
Support audits and ensure integrity of financial data
Maintain documentation of financial processes
Skill Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
MBA / CA / CMA / CFA preferred
Experience
4–8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles
Experience in handling end-to-end budgeting and forecasting cycles
Technical Skills
Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, macros preferred)
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
