Designation Title: Assistant Manager South (Sales)

Role Overview:
We are looking for a high-energy, field-driven sales professional to support business expansion across the South region. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in driving revenue growth, managing channel/customer relationships, and contributing to regional sales strategy execution within the emission-control and DG-set ecosystem.
This role is ideal for someone with strong industrial sales exposure who wants to grow into a leadership position in a fast-scaling CleanTech startup.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive sales targets (monthly/quarterly) for assigned territories within South India.
Identify and acquire new industrial customers, OEMs, facility managers, and manufacturing units.
Build strong relationships within the DG-set ecosystem including consultants, EPCs, and channel partners.
Generate, track, and manage a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.
Conduct technical sales presentations and product demonstrations to industrial stakeholders.
Support proposal creation, commercial negotiations, and order closures.
Coordinate with operations and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Gather market intelligence, competitor insights, and customer feedback to support strategy refinement.
Ensure timely collections and maintain healthy receivables.
Skills / Attributes / Experience Required:
68 years of total sales experience in industrial equipment / heavy machinery / B2B technical sales.
Exposure to RECD / DG-set / emission-control solutions is preferred.
Strong understanding of industrial customer segments and facility-level decision-making.
Experience in managing mid-size and high-value ticket deals.
Hands-on field sales experience with strong closure ability.
Ability to work independently in a high-growth startup environment.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering required; MBA preferred.
