Job Summary
The Fabrication / Production Incharge is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising fabrication and production activities to ensure products are manufactured safely, on time, and according to quality standards. This role oversees manpower, machinery, materials, and production schedules while driving productivity, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule daily fabrication and production activities to meet delivery commitments.
- Supervise fabrication processes such as cutting, bending, welding, drilling, grinding, machining, and assembly.
- Monitor production output and ensure adherence to production targets and quality standards.
- Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials efficiently.
- Coordinate with the Design, Purchase, Quality, Stores, and Maintenance departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensure production is carried out as per engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Monitor machine utilization and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure availability of raw materials, consumables, and tools required for production.
- Conduct daily production meetings and review progress against production plans.
- Identify process improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
- Maintain production records, daily reports, and inventory consumption.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate fabrication and production staff.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in fabrication and production, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience in fabrication workshops, heavy engineering, sheet metal, structural steel, or manufacturing industries is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes including welding, cutting, bending, machining, and assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication blueprints.
- Knowledge of production planning and scheduling techniques.
- Familiarity with welding standards and quality inspection procedures.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement practices.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and production management software.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
