Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations at Surendranagar. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all production activities consistently achieve planned production quantities while maintaining the highest standards of product quality.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical manufacturing, process control, quality systems, and production planning. The Production Manager will work closely with Production, Quality Control, Maintenance and Technical teams to ensure efficient plant operations, optimum product quality, and timely order fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure all production targets are achieved as per the monthly and annual production plans.
· Maintain strict adherence to manufacturing procedures and process parameters to ensure consistent product quality.
· Monitor production batches and process performance to minimize deviations, rework, rejects, and quality issues.
· Coordinate closely with the Quality Control team to ensure products meet all internal specifications and customer requirements before dispatch.
· Take ownership of production yields, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
· Develop and implement systems to improve process consistency, reduce variability, and enhance product performance.
· Investigate production and quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
· Ensure accurate production records, batch documentation, and process reports are maintained.
· Optimize manpower, equipment utilization, and production resources to maximize output without compromising quality.
· Coordinate with Maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize production downtime.
· Monitor raw material consumption, process losses, and manufacturing costs to improve overall plant efficiency.
· Lead production planning and scheduling activities to ensure timely completion of customer orders.
· Train and supervise production personnel on process discipline, quality awareness, safety practices, and operational excellence.
· Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality enhancement, cost reduction, and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering with at least 2 years of experience in chemical manufacturing operations.
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering with at least 4 years of experience in production and plant operations.
Preferred Skills:
· Strong understanding of chemical process manufacturing and quality systems.
· Proven experience in managing production targets while maintaining stringent quality standards.
· Knowledge of root cause analysis, process troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies.
· Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in production planning, reporting, and documentation.
· Familiarity with ISO quality systems and manufacturing best practices.
· Effective communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
