Valve Sales, Tenders & Business Development
Job Summary
Metaval is looking for an experienced Valve Sales, Tenders & Business Development to support the growth of its industrial valve business. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of industrial valves and hands-on experience in tender management, technical sales, and business development. The candidate will be responsible for identifying tender opportunities, preparing bid submissions, building customer relationships, and driving sales across domestic and international markets.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for industrial valves and flow control solutions.
- Generate leads through market research, networking, customer visits, and industry contacts.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, EPC contractors, consultants, OEMs, distributors, and end users.
- Conduct client meetings, technical presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable valve solutions.
- Prepare and submit quotations, negotiate pricing, and convert enquiries into sales orders.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Tender Management
- Search and monitor relevant tenders through GeM, CPPP, PSU portals, EPC portals, and private procurement platforms.
- Review tender documents, technical specifications, commercial terms, and eligibility requirements.
- Prepare complete technical and commercial bid submissions.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance, and management teams to compile tender documentation.
- Upload and submit tenders through online procurement portals within deadlines.
- Respond to customer clarifications and participate in commercial negotiations.
- Track tender status until order award.
Technical Responsibilities
- Review RFQs, valve datasheets, P&IDs, and customer specifications.
- Recommend suitable valve products based on application requirements.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers for technical support, costing, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure all quotations comply with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain technical documentation and product information for future reference.
Customer Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries and provide technical and commercial support.
- Follow up on quotations, pending orders, and customer feedback.
- Resolve customer concerns in coordination with internal teams.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred).
- 5–8 years of experience in Industrial Valve Sales, Tender Management, or Business Development.
- Proven experience in handling government and private sector tenders.
- Strong understanding of industrial valve applications and specifications.
- Familiarity with GeM, CPPP, PSU procurement portals, EPC procurement processes, and e-tendering platforms.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
