Job Summary
We are looking for experienced Medical Coders with expertise in Evaluation & Management (E&M) and Spine/Pain Management coding. The ideal candidates should possess strong coding knowledge, ensure accurate documentation review, and maintain compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and payer guidelines to support quality healthcare reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities
- Review physician documentation and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Perform coding for Evaluation & Management (E&M) and Spine/Pain Management specialties.
- Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with CMS, CPT, ICD-10, and payer-specific guidelines.
- Identify documentation deficiencies and communicate with providers for clarification when required.
- Maintain high productivity and quality standards while meeting turnaround time.
- Stay updated with coding guideline changes and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in internal quality audits and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience in Pain Management specialty is mandatory.
- Relevant experience in:
- Evaluation & Management (E&M) coding, or
- Spine / Pain Management coding.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and medical terminology.
- Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and maintain coding quality standards.
Preferred Skills
- Excellent understanding of physician documentation.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance and payer guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems.
