Position: PDM Engineer – Software Release
Function: Product Data Management / Software Release
Domain: Automotive Components, E&E Components, Hardware and Software Release
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform release activities for automotive components, E&E components, hardware, and software through PLM tools such as Teamcenter.
- Support Engineering Change Management activities, including variant control, BOM management, and release documentation.
- Store software data in the EDLS server and map code data to Flashware/Software in EPDM.
- Monitor, track, and ensure timely completion of release activities as per customer and project requirements.
- Assign and create part numbers for software and hardware components in alignment with release processes.
- Perform Product Data Management and documentation activities based on customer requirements.
- Coordinate closely with onsite teams, German stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth release execution.
- Manage risks and issues that may impact project deliverables and support timely resolution.
- Ensure seamless integration and collaboration between teams in India and Germany.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in release management and Engineering Change Management for automotive components, E&E components, hardware, and software.
- Hands-on experience in Product Data Management, documentation, and release processes through PLM tools, preferably Teamcenter.
- Knowledge of Change Management, variant control, BOM management, and automotive release processes.
- Understanding of automotive component release, electronics hardware release, and software release processes.
- Experience working with global companies, preferably German OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong coordination, communication, ownership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work as a team player while also handling individual responsibilities independently.
