We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Biomedical Senior Engineer to oversee the installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and management of biomedical equipment within the hospital. The candidate will ensure all medical equipment functions safely and efficiently to support high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
- Supervise preventive and breakdown maintenance of biomedical equipment across all hospital departments.
- Install, test, calibrate, and commission new medical equipment.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, vendors, and service providers regarding equipment performance and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, AMC/CMC contracts, service reports, and calibration schedules.
- Monitor equipment uptime and ensure minimal downtime through timely troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with NABH, biomedical safety standards, and statutory regulations.
- Train junior biomedical engineers/technicians and hospital staff on equipment handling and safety.
- Evaluate equipment performance and recommend replacement or upgrades when necessary.
- Assist in procurement activities including technical evaluation, vendor comparison, and equipment selection.
- Conduct periodic inspections and risk assessments for biomedical devices.
- Coordinate with external agencies for annual calibration and certification requirements.
- Prepare maintenance reports and submit monthly equipment status reports to management.
- Support OT, ICU, Cath Lab, Radiology, Dialysis, Laboratory, and other critical care departments for equipment-related requirements.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and electrical safety protocols.
- B.E./B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering / Electronics & Biomedical Engineering.
- Additional certifications in biomedical equipment maintenance are preferred.
