Job Description: L1 IT Support EngineerRole Overview
The L1 IT Support Engineer serves as the primary technical point of contact for our organization. You will be responsible for resolving day-to-day user hardware and software issues, performing basic network troubleshooting, and managing application installations. A key part of this role involves tracking technical issues and efficiently escalating complex hardware or service problems to external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- User & Desktop Support: Install, configure, and maintain employee laptops, desktops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Application Installation & Support: Deploy and troubleshoot core business applications, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
- Network Troubleshooting (Key Skill): Diagnose basic LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity issues; understand IP addressing and local network configurations to keep users connected.
- Vendor Escalation & Management: Act as the bridge between internal users and external vendors for hardware repairs, internet service outages, and software licensing issues.
- Ticketing & Access Management: Monitor the IT helpdesk queue, manage user account credentials (password resets, access rights), and resolve tickets within defined SLAs.
Essential Requirements
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a technical support, helpdesk, or desktop support role.
- Core Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
- Proficiency in OS administration (Windows 10/11 and/or macOS).
- Familiarity with active directory or cloud identity management (e.g., Entra ID/Okta) is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong vendor management and escalation tracking skills.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a customer-first mindset.
- Clear communication skills to explain technical solutions to non-technical users.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience/certifications (like CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA).
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
