Roles and Responsibilities
- Understanding of crafts.
- Engaging and working with the artisans and clusters.
- Create a line of fabrics and products for the company with respect to the brand image.
- Support the core design team by bringing in textile expertise on par with global trends & Indian aesthetics.
- Understand the latest trends in textile design and development techniques and develop fresh concepts based on seasonal themes.
- Involved in ideation of designs based on the analysis.
- Coordinating with sampling and production team, and production handovers as per best efficiency of consumption.
- Concept development in surface, prints, weaves, and embroideries.
- Aesthetic understanding of color balancing, surface, and embroideries techniques, etc.
- Dead stock management.
- Reverse process planning.
- Coordination with sales channels and Data analysis.
- Product sourcing for high end market as well as mid market.
Skills
- Be interested in fashion, textiles, and design, and enjoy working with a range of different styles and techniques.
- Interest in the craft sector, and an understanding of various handicrafts and handlooms of India.
- A good eye for color, texture, fabrics, and patterns.
- Understanding and experience in using different textile processes and techniques.
- Design skills and the ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) packages.
- Good communication and team working skills.
- Have good organizational ability and be able to work to deadlines and within budget.
- Have knowledge of the market and keep up to date with new fashions and trends, and design and production techniques.
Other Requirements
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in Textile designing
- Industry Experience: Field experience in the Craft Sector.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's or/and Master's degree in fashion or textile from any reputed design institute.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
