The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and monitoring all civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and infrastructure-related activities at hospital construction and renovation sites. The role ensures that project execution complies with healthcare standards, quality requirements, safety regulations, project timelines, and budgetary guidelines.
- Supervise day-to-day construction and engineering activities at hospital project sites.
- Ensure execution of work as per approved drawings, specifications, and project plans.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors for smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Conduct site inspections and identify potential technical issues.
- Ensure construction quality complies with hospital standards and statutory regulations.
- Monitor quality of materials, workmanship, and installation activities.
- Verify adherence to approved engineering designs and technical specifications.
- Maintain quality control documentation and inspection reports.
- Oversee installation of hospital-specific systems including:
- HVAC Systems
- Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS)
- Electrical Systems
- Fire Fighting Systems
- Plumbing & Sanitary Systems
- Nurse Call Systems
- BMS (Building Management Systems)
- STP & WTP Systems
- Coordinate with biomedical teams during equipment installation and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and hospital construction standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety procedures and PPE usage.
- Report and address any safety violations or incidents.
- Maintain site records, daily progress reports, and project documentation.
- Prepare material requirement plans and work schedules.
- Verify contractor bills and measurement sheets.
- Submit periodic project status reports to management.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors, subcontractors, and service providers.
- Monitor contractor performance and adherence to project schedules.
- Verify work completion and quality standards before certification.
- Participate in testing and commissioning of engineering systems.
- Ensure all installations are functioning as per design requirements.
- Support handover activities and snag rectification processes.
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Additional certification in Project Management or Construction Management is preferred.
