Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the drafting, negotiation, execution, and administration of contracts across architectural projects. The ideal candidate will ensure contractual compliance, minimize business risks, support project teams, and manage consultant agreements while collaborating with clients, legal advisors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management
- Draft, review, negotiate, and administer contracts with government, public, and private sector clients.
- Assess contractual risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies in consultation with leadership and legal advisors.
- Ensure all contracts comply with legal, commercial, and organizational requirements.
- Maintain standard contract templates and manage the contract repository, including renewals, milestones, deliverables, and contractual obligations.
- Support project teams in defining project scope, deliverables, fee structures, and timelines across all project phases.
Process & Compliance
- Maintain contract tracking systems, dashboards, and reports for leadership review.
- Develop and improve contract management processes, approval workflows, and document control systems.
- Ensure proper documentation and timely execution of all contractual agreements.
- Promote best practices through internal guidance and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Consultant & Stakeholder Management
- Prepare, negotiate, and manage consultant agreements for disciplines such as MEP, Structural, Civil, Façade, Lighting, and other specialist consultants.
- Ensure clear allocation of responsibilities, deliverables, timelines, commercial terms, and liabilities between the firm and consultants.
- Coordinate with internal project teams to ensure consultant appointments are completed on schedule.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, legal advisors, and other stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB), Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Finance or a relevant discipline is preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in contract management, commercial management, or a similar role, preferably within the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) industry.
- Strong understanding of contract law, commercial agreements, and construction industry practices.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and contract management documentation.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and commercial contract administration is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
