Experience: 2 to 4 years experience in QC heavy engineering / fabrication.

Work Location: Thanjavur
Purpose : The QC Engineer is responsible for conduction inspections of raw materials, in-process inspection, finished products to ensure compliance with drawings, standard and customer requirements. The role involves implementing quality plans, maintaining records and supporting audits for overall product quality assurance.
Tasks / Roles and Responsibilities
1. Inspection Activities:
· Make sure all manufacturing processes of Engineering Equipment job completed with right tools, standards and procedures.
· Preparation of check sheets & dimensions reports with respect to drawings/specifications/QAP.
· Carrying out inspection in line with the QAP/SOP/WI and sign off all stages in PVR for acceptance.
· Guiding the production team to enhance the quality of the product.
· All Inspections from raw material to final product in black stage.
· Resolving quality related issues following the standards and specifications.
· Inspect bevel dimensions, rolling profile and fit-up, trail asssembly, final dimensions.
· Raise NCR if any non-conformance found.
· Preparation of work instructions, procedures for critical inspections.
· Checking CAD drawing and cutting plans as per drawing..
· Ensuring qualified person involved in manufacturing process.
· Ensure weld visual as per drawings/specifications/QAP.
· Inspect outsourced / machining products at vendor place.
2. Welding & NDT Verification:
· Monitor and ensure weld quality meets ISO 3834-2 & En 1090-2 standards.
· Review WPS & PQR and welder qualification certificates before job execution.
· Witness NDT activities like UT,RT,MT,PT and ensure reports are properly documented.
3. Coordination:
· Coordinate with production, Planning and QA teams to resolve quality issues.
· Assit in root cause analysis for rework/rejection and suport CAPA implementations.
· Support customer inspection visits and provide required documentation.
· Offering inspection and getting clearance from customer.
4. Documentation & Reporting:
· Maintain all inspection records and submit daily/weekly/ reports to the QC incharge.
· Prepare daily inspection record and maintaining inspection call register.
· Update inspection stastus on Axpert software.
· Preparation of check sheets & dimensions reports with respect to drawings/specifications / QAP.
· Ensure traceability of the product.
· Reporting daily inspection status to top management.
· Participating in 5S activity and encouraging co-workers to achieve it.
Education: Bachelor of Engineering / Diploma Engineering
Experience: 2 to 4 years experience in QC heavy engineering & Tower Manufacturing / fabrication.
Mandatory Skills:
- Knowledge of welding (GMAW, SAW, GTAW and SMAW) and fabrication inspection.
- Understanding of ISO 3834-2,En 1090-2, WPS. PQR and NDT techniques.
- Should Have Experince in Tower Manufacturing
- Proficient in QA/QC documentation, inspection procedures, and third-party coordination.
- Machining knowldege required
- Communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Good understanding of national and international quality standards.
- Familiar with ERP and digital QMS tools.
- Cetified internal and lead auditor.
- Core tools knowledge.
- Certified NDT Level II - ASNT .
