- Develop, implement, and monitor occupational health and safety policies, programs, and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety regulations and legal requirements.
- Provide safety induction and training sessions to workers, contractors, and staff.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective/preventive measures.
- Maintain and update safety records, permits, and documentation.
- Coordinate emergency drills (fire, evacuation, first aid) and promote safety awareness across the organization.
- Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure adherence.
- Liaise with government authorities, consultants, and auditors regarding workplace safety compliance.
- Support the development of a positive safety culture across all levels of the organization.
