Role Overview
The Senior Video Editor at Machine Maker will play a critical role in shaping high-impact visual stories for the manufacturing ecosystem. This role demands speed with precision, strong storytelling sensibility, and the ability to perform under tight exhibition and campaign deadlines. The editor will work closely with content strategists, anchors, and on-ground teams to deliver compelling videos across events, campaigns, and brand stories.
Key Responsibilities
1. High-Speed Exhibition Video Editing
- Edit exhibition videos, event coverage, walk-throughs, interviews, reels, and daily highlights with fast turnaround times.
- Ensure accuracy in branding, facts, names, titles, and messaging, especially for client-facing content.
- Deliver same-day or next-day edits during exhibitions like IMTEX, EMO, LogiMAT, etc.
- Maintain consistency in Machine Maker’s visual identity across all exhibition outputs.
2. Concept-Driven Storytelling
- Edit concept-led videos including:
- Corporate brand films
- Thought leadership stories
- Emotive storytelling videos
- Customer success stories & case studies
- Translate briefs, scripts, and raw footage into clear, engaging narratives.
- Use pacing, music, transitions, and visual flow to enhance storytelling impact.
- Suggest creative improvements in storytelling, structure, and visual treatment.
3. Tight Deadline Management
- Work efficiently under strict timelines and pressure environments, especially during live events and campaign launches.
- Prioritize multiple projects without compromising quality.
- Be flexible with extended hours during exhibitions, launches, and critical campaigns.
4. Collaboration & Ownership
- Coordinate closely with:
- Content & Outreach teams
- On-ground exhibition teams
- Anchors, voice-over artists, and designers
- Take ownership of assigned video projects from raw footage to final delivery.
- Maintain proper file management, naming conventions, and version control.
5. Quality Control & Brand Compliance
- Ensure all videos meet Machine Maker’s quality benchmarks and client expectations.
- Follow brand guidelines for fonts, colors, lower-thirds, logos, and end slates.
- Review videos carefully for technical errors, continuity, and messaging accuracy.
Mandatory Skills & Requirements
Technical Skills
- Strong command over Adobe Premiere Pro (mandatory).
- Working knowledge of After Effects for basic motion graphics, titles, and animations.
- Proficiency in color correction, audio balancing, and export optimization for multiple platforms.
- Experience editing for YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and short-form formats.
Storytelling & Creative Skills
- Excellent sense of story structure, pacing, and emotional flow.
- Ability to adapt editing style for:
- Corporate & professional tone
