A JCB Operator is responsible for safely operating JCB equipment such as backhoe loaders and excavators for excavation, earthmoving, trenching, loading, grading, and other construction activities. The operator must ensure efficient machine operation, follow safety regulations, and perform routine maintenance checks.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate JCB/backhoe loader for excavation, trenching, loading, leveling, and earthmoving activities.
- Perform daily pre-start inspections of the machine, including engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, brakes, tyres, lights, and attachments.
- Carry out excavation work according to site drawings, levels, and instructions provided by the Site Engineer.
- Load and unload construction materials safely and efficiently.
- Maintain proper working condition of the machine by reporting defects, breakdowns, or unusual noises immediately.
- Follow all safety regulations, traffic management plans, and PPE requirements while operating equipment.
- Ensure safe working distances from underground utilities, structures, and other machinery.
- Keep accurate records of machine operating hours, fuel consumption, and daily work completed.
- Coordinate with supervisors, surveyors, and ground workers to ensure smooth execution of work.
- Maintain cleanliness of the machine and ensure it is parked safely after work.
- Avoid misuse, overloading, or unauthorized operation of the equipment.
- Assist with minor preventive maintenance and cooperate with mechanics during repairs.
- Comply with company policies, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
- Operate the equipment efficiently to minimize fuel consumption and maximize productivity.
- Perform any other machinery-related duties assigned by the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
