Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. You will work on a variety of electrical components, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. If you have a strong understanding of electrical systems and enjoy troubleshooting and hands-on work, this position is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
Install and configure electrical systems, wiring, and components for new constructions, renovations, or repairs.
Ensure all electrical installations meet local building codes and safety standards.
Maintenance & Repairs:
Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical wiring, circuits, and systems.
Inspect and replace damaged components like fuses, switches, and circuit breakers.
Testing & Diagnostics:
Use diagnostic tools to test electrical systems, equipment, and components for proper functioning.
Identify issues such as power failures, system malfunctions, and other electrical faults, and take corrective action.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and ensure that electrical work complies with local and national electrical codes.
Adhere to strict safety standards to minimize risks associated with electrical work.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including system inspections, repairs, and upgrades.
Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor and provide suggestions for improving system efficiency and safety.
Customer Support:
Provide on-site technical assistance for troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems.
Explain electrical system issues and repair processes to clients or team members as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical certification or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Proven experience (1+ years) as an electrical technician, electrician, or in a similar role.
Familiarity with electrical wiring, circuit diagrams, and schematics.
Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Must & Should Have Skills:
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills to interact with team members, supervisors, and clients.
Electrical Technician or Electrician Certification is a plus.
Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards is a plus.
Ability to work in various environments, including industrial, commercial, and residential settings.
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined or elevated spaces.
Willingness to work in challenging conditions, such as during off-hours or on weekends, when required.
