Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Architectural Draftsman to join our design team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming initial architectural concepts and sketches into precise technical drawings and blueprints. You will work closely with architects and engineers to ensure all designs are functionally sound, aesthetically pleasing, and compliant with local building codes.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Documentation: Create detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, and site plans using CAD software.
Design Collaboration: Coordinate with Architects to refine structural details and material specifications.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all drawings meet local building codes, zoning laws, and other requirements.
Revision Management: Incorporate redline changes and feedback from senior staff or clients into existing sets.
Field Verification: Visit project sites to perform measurements and document existing conditions for "as-built" drawings.
Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD. Experience with Rhino or SketchUp is a plus.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) integration.
Attention to Detail: An eagle eye for line weights, dimensions, and layering standards.
Communication: Ability to explain technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders.
