Job Summary:
We are seeking a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Chemistry to teach students of Classes 11th and 12th. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Chemistry, fostering scientific inquiry, preparing students for board and competitive examinations, and contributing to the overall academic excellence of the institution. The role requires strong subject expertise, effective classroom management skills, and a commitment to student development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum for Classes 11th and 12th using effective teaching methodologies.
- Prepare students for CBSE Board Examinations, competitive examinations, and other academic assessments.
- Conduct practical sessions, demonstrations, and laboratory activities while ensuring laboratory safety standards.
- Guide and mentor students in projects, experiments, assignments, seminars, and other academic activities.
- Assess student performance through tests, assignments, presentations, and practical examinations, maintain academic records, and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Integrate technology and digital learning tools into classroom instruction to enhance student engagement.
- Participate in school events, academic activities, parent meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Stay updated with CBSE curriculum changes, educational trends, and advancements in Chemistry and teaching methodologies.
Desired Candidate Qualifications
- M.Sc. Chemistry with B.Ed. from a recognized university (mandatory).
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in CBSE Schools, preferably handling Classes 11th and 12th.
- Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and the ability to explain complex concepts effectively.
- Familiarity with CBSE curriculum, board examination patterns, and evaluation methods.
- Experience in preparing students for competitive examinations such as JEE, NEET, and other entrance tests is desirable.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology, smart boards, and digital teaching tools.
- Strong mentoring, counselling, and student engagement skills.
- Passion for teaching, continuous learning, and academic excellence.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents to achieve educational goals.

PSG Public Schools is a co-educational high school located on the Avinashi Road, Peelamedu, Coimbatore, India. The school was founded in 2002. The senior school was inaugurated in 2009.
