Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, bookstores, distributors, and retail chains to enhance the visibility and sales of children’s books.
Sales Execution: Achieve assigned sales targets by actively promoting products in the field, managing institutional and retail orders, and driving revenue growth.
Team Handling: Lead, mentor, and monitor the performance of inside sales executives and field sales personnel to ensure target achievement and effective market coverage.
Market Development: Identify and develop new market opportunities across North and South regions, and share market insights with the central team for strategic growth planning.
Product Promotion: Promote children’s book titles through product presentations, book fairs, school outreach programs, and other promotional activities.
Coordination: Work closely with internal teams such as sales coordinators, editorial, and marketing to ensure smooth order processing, timely dispatch, and customer satisfaction.
Feedback Collection: Collect market feedback on products, pricing, and competitor activities to support continuous improvement and product development.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of client visits, sales activities, team performance, and market updates through regular MIS reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- 4–6 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in publishing, EdTech, or FMCG sectors
- Prior exposure to children’s books or educational publishing will be a strong advantage
- Proven experience in handling inside sales and field sales teams
- Willingness to travel extensively (approx. 60% travel) across assigned territories
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build long-term relationships and deliver consistent customer value
- Graduate in any discipline; additional certifications in sales or education will be an added advantage
