HARVTECH Private Limited is an Agri-Tech startup focused on developing next-generation smart electric agricultural machinery powered by Industry 4.0 technologies. We design innovative electric tractors, power weeders, and intelligent farming solutions that improve productivity, sustainability, and affordability for farmers.
We are looking for a passionate Android Application Developer Intern to join our technology team and contribute to building mobile applications that integrate with our smart agricultural machines and digital platforms.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Java and/or Kotlin.
- Build intuitive and user-friendly interfaces following Material Design guidelines.
- Integrate REST APIs and cloud-based services into Android applications.
- Develop Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and IoT communication features for smart agricultural equipment.
- Work with Firebase for authentication, notifications, analytics, and cloud database.
- Collaborate with the UI/UX, Embedded Systems, and Backend Development teams.
- Debug, test, and optimize applications for performance and stability.
- Participate in feature planning, testing, and deployment of application updates.
- Maintain proper documentation of application architecture and development progress.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin.
- Understanding of Android Studio and Android SDK.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and JSON.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub version control.
- Understanding of SQLite or Firebase Database.
- Basic knowledge of Material Design principles.
- Problem-solving mindset with strong debugging skills.
- Willingness to learn emerging mobile technologies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Google Maps API.
- Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication.
- Understanding of MQTT or IoT-based mobile applications.
- Exposure to Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
- Familiarity with MVVM architecture and Jetpack components.
- Experience publishing apps to the Google Play Store is an added advantage.
