Job Description:
We are looking for a proactive and analytical Category Manager to manage category growth, vendor relationships, product performance, and business operations. The role involves category planning, market analysis, pricing strategy, vendor coordination, and ensuring smooth execution of category-related activities to drive revenue and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end category operations and performance
- Analyze market trends, customer demand, and competitor activities
- Develop category growth strategies and pricing plansCoordinate with vendors and suppliers for product/service availability
- Monitor category sales, margins, and profitability
- Prepare reports, forecasts, and business insights
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and product teams
- Identify opportunities for new category expansion and business growth
- Ensure smooth execution of category-related initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Management, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in Category Management, Business Operations, Procurement, E-commerce, Retail, or a related domain
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, and reporting tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in managing product or service categories
- Understanding of market research and consumer behavior
- Experience in revenue growth and category planning
