Job Title: BARC RT Level II Radiographer / NDT Technician

About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced BARC RT Level II Radiographer to join our NDT team. The successful candidate will perform industrial radiographic testing on welds, castings, forgings, pressure vessels, pipelines, and structural components while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, customer specifications, and radiation safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform industrial radiographic testing using Gamma and X-ray equipment.
- Conduct exposure calculations and determine appropriate radiographic techniques.
- Set up radiography jobs and ensure proper radiation safety arrangements.
- Process and interpret radiographic films.
- Evaluate radiographs as per applicable codes and customer specifications.
- Prepare radiography reports and maintain inspection records.
- Handle and maintain radiography equipment and accessories.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety procedures and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, inspectors, and production teams.
- Maintain source movement records, logbooks, and exposure documentation.
- Participate in audits and quality assurance activities.
Required Qualifications
- BARC RT Level II certification (mandatory).
- Valid Radiographer certification as applicable.
- Knowledge of industrial radiography using Ir-192, Se-75, and X-ray equipment.
- Familiarity with radiation protection practices and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to interpret radiographs according to relevant codes and standards.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASNT/ISO 9712 Level II certification (preferred).
- Experience in refinery, petrochemical, power plant, marine, fabrication, or heavy engineering industries.
- Knowledge of standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, and AWS.
- Experience with digital radiography or computed radiography is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of industrial radiography experience.
- Fresh BARC RT Level II candidates may also apply for trainee positions.
