Job Purpose
To develop, implement, and monitor Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe workplace, statutory compliance, accident prevention, and environmental sustainability across the manufacturing operations of construction equipment.
Key Responsibilities1. Health & Safety Management
- Develop and implement HSE policies, SOPs, and safety standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement and awareness programs.
- Monitor safety performance and recommend corrective actions.
2. Statutory & Legal Compliance
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, State Factory Rules, Fire Safety Regulations, and other applicable laws.
- Maintain statutory records, registers, licenses, and permits.
- Liaise with government authorities, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate safety inspections and statutory audits.
3. Incident & Accident Management
- Investigate accidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Prepare incident reports and maintain accident statistics.
- Monitor closure of safety observations and audit findings.
4. Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and maintain Emergency Response Plans (ERP).
- Conduct mock drills for fire, medical emergencies, chemical spills, and evacuation.
- Ensure availability and maintenance of emergency equipment and systems.
5. Training & Awareness
- Conduct safety induction programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Organize toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and awareness sessions.
- Develop annual safety training calendars and competency programs.
6. Contractor Safety Management
- Ensure contractor compliance with site safety requirements.
- Conduct contractor safety evaluations and audits.
- Monitor work permit systems and high-risk activities.
7. Environmental Management
- Monitor waste management, pollution control, and environmental compliance.
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and permits.
- Promote resource conservation and sustainability initiatives.
8. Safety Audits & Inspections
- Conduct routine plant safety inspections.
- Lead internal and external HSE audits.
- Track corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
9. Safety Committee & Reporting
- Facilitate Safety Committee meetings.
- Prepare monthly HSE dashboards and MIS reports.
- Present safety performance to management.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
