Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in product design and development. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in SolidWorks and experience in designing plastic and sheet metal components.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components using SolidWorks.
Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
Prepare drawings with GD&T.
Design components for plastic injection molding and sheet metal fabrication.
Coordinate with manufacturing, vendors, and cross-functional teams for product development.
Communicate with vendors for technical discussions, sourcing support, and design feasibility.
Participate in vendor interactions and support cost negotiations for components and tooling.
Support prototype development, testing, and design improvements.
Required Skills
Mandatory: Proficiency in SolidWorks
3D Modelling & 2D Drafting
GD&T
CAD software
Knowledge of plastics, sheet metal, injection molding, and engineering materials
Microsoft Excel
Understanding of DFM/DFA and manufacturing processes
Soft Skills
Strong communication and vendor management skills
Basic cost negotiation and commercial understanding
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Team player with good interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and time management
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
