Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Vegetarian Chef to join our hotel’s culinary team. The ideal candidate should have experience preparing a wide variety of Indian vegetarian dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation. The chef will work closely with the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of vegetarian dishes, including South Indian, North Indian, and regional specialties.
* Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
* Plan daily menus and recommend new vegetarian dishes.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
* Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control.
* Manage kitchen inventory and minimize food wastage.
* Coordinate with the purchasing team for ingredients and supplies.
* Supervise and train junior kitchen staff when required.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
* Support banquet, buffet, and à la carte operations as needed.
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a Vegetarian Chef in a hotel or restaurant.
* Strong knowledge of South Indian and North Indian vegetarian cuisine.
* Experience with buffet and à la carte service is preferred.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Good teamwork and communication skills.
* Culinary diploma or hotel management qualification is an advantage.
