- Pre-Press Setup: Calibrate the press, install printing plates, load specific paper stock, and fill ink fountains.
- Color Management: Use digital control panels to adjust ink density, water balance, and registration to match strict client proofs.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct visual inspections and use spectrophotometers to check for color accuracy, smearing, or misalignment during print runs.
- Finishing Operations: Oversee inline operations such as cutting, folding, or die-cutting depending on the press configuration.
- Press Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, lubricate moving parts, and change blankets and rollers to prevent downtime.
- Equipment Programming: Interpret engineering drawings and work orders to program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) or industrial machinery.
- Material Loading: Feed raw materials, films, or metal parts into the machine manually or via automated feeders.
- Precision Machining: Adjust cutting speeds, feeds, and pressure parameters to ensure manufactured components meet strict tolerances.
