Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced UK Controller / Assistant Manager – UK Accounting professional with strong UK accounting knowledge and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate should have experience handling UK accounting operations and be comfortable coordinating with clients/stakeholders across the UK and Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end UK accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Review and ensure accuracy of financial statements and management reports.
- Handle AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review accounting records and ensure compliance with UK accounting standards.
- Support VAT returns and other UK statutory accounting requirements.
- Perform financial analysis and investigate accounting discrepancies.
- Coordinate with UK and Netherlands-based clients/stakeholders.
- Review the work of accounting team members and provide guidance where required.
- Ensure timely completion of accounting deliverables and maintain high-quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in UK Accounting.
- Experience at Controller / Assistant Manager / Senior Accountant level.
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP / IFRS.
- Good knowledge of VAT, reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting.
- Experience working with UK-based clients.
- Exposure to Netherlands accounting will be an advantage.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team-management skills.
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
- ACCA / CA / CMA qualification or part-qualification will be an added advantage.
Ideal Candidate
A strong UK Accounting Controller / AM with excellent communication skills, client-handling experience, and the ability to manage accounting operations independently while coordinating with UK and Netherlands stakeholders.
Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
