Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrician for our Electrical EPC Projects and Panel Manufacturing Unit. The candidate will be responsible for electrical installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, panel wiring, troubleshooting, and supervision of electrical works at project sites and in the manufacturing facility.
The candidate must have a valid electrical license and strong practical experience in industrial electrical works, LT/HT systems, electrical panels, and EPC projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and supervise electrical installation work as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Perform installation, wiring, termination, testing, and troubleshooting of LT/HT electrical systems.
- Work on LT Panels, HT Panels, PCC, MCC, PMCC, DBs, APFC Panels, VFD Panels and Control Panels.
- Carry out panel wiring, cable termination, glanding, dressing, ferruling, and testing.
- Read and interpret SLD, wiring diagrams, control circuit diagrams, layout drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Perform cable laying, cable tray installation, conduit work, earthing, lighting, and power distribution works.
- Assist in installation and commissioning of transformers, DG sets, motors, pumps, and other electrical equipment.
- Conduct electrical testing using appropriate testing instruments such as multimeter, megger, clamp meter, phase sequence meter, and earth tester.
- Identify electrical faults and carry out corrective action efficiently.
- Supervise electricians, technicians, and helpers and allocate daily work as per project requirements.
- Coordinate with Electrical Engineers, Project Engineers, Production Teams, QA/QC, and clients.
- Ensure work is completed according to project drawings, quality requirements, and schedules.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and follow electrical safety procedures at the workplace/project site.
- Support testing and commissioning activities and prepare basic testing/inspection records.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of electrical tools, equipment, and PPE.
- Coordinate with the concerned authority/client wherever required for electrical inspection and testing.
Panel Manufacturing Responsibilities
- Perform and supervise panel assembly and internal wiring.
- Ensure correct component installation as per approved GA and schematic drawings.
- Carry out busbar assembly, control wiring, power wiring, cable termination, and component mounting.
- Check wiring continuity, insulation resistance, phase sequence, and control circuit operation.
- Troubleshoot panel wiring and electrical component-related issues.
- Support FAT and pre-dispatch inspection of electrical panels.
EPC Project Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical installation activities at industrial/project sites.
- Coordinate manpower and daily site activities with the Project Engineer.
- Ensure proper execution of cable laying, termination, panel installation, earthing, lighting, and equipment connections.
- Support pre-commissioning, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with client representatives and site engineers for inspection and rectification.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety rules and applicable statutory requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong practical knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
- Good knowledge of LT/HT electrical installation and maintenance.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of electrical testing and commissioning procedures.
- Ability to lead and supervise a team of electricians and technicians.
- Knowledge of electrical safety, PPE, LOTO, and safe working practices.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites when required.
Mandatory Requirement
Valid Electrical License / Electrical Supervisor License is mandatory. Candidates must be able to provide valid license/documentation during the recruitment process.
Preferred Experience
Experience in industrial EPC projects, electrical panel manufacturing, manufacturing plants, oil & gas projects, power plants, infrastructure projects, or large industrial projects will be preferred.
