Position Summary
PRR Cargo Express is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sales & Marketing Manager with proven experience in transportation and logistics sales. The candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, acquiring transportation contracts, managing sales leads, maintaining client relationships, and achieving revenue targets through strategic sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the transportation and logistics sector.
- Generate leads and secure new transportation contracts from corporate clients, manufacturing industries, logistics companies, and other potential customers.
- Manage the complete lead lifecycle, including lead generation, qualification, follow-up, conversion, and client onboarding.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through various lead generation channels such as referrals, networking, cold calling, digital platforms, and industry events.
- Conduct market research to identify customer requirements and industry trends.
- Prepare and submit business proposals, quotations, and presentations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and service agreements with customers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth implementation of transportation contracts.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets set by the management.
- Attend client meetings, networking events, and business development activities.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, sales activities, customer interactions, and business opportunities in CRM systems.
- Monitor competitor activities and recommend strategies to improve market share.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and support accounts receivable follow-up when required.
- Prepare periodic sales and lead management reports for management review.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Transportation Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3–8 years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Fleet Management, Cargo Sales, or Business Development.
- Proven track record in obtaining new transportation contracts and generating business revenue.
- Hands-on experience in Lead Management, CRM tools, and sales pipeline management.
- Strong understanding of transportation operations, route planning, freight movement, and logistics services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build long-term customer relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM systems.
