Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and creative Textile Design Faculty to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of textile design along with the ability to deliver engaging theory and practical sessions while mentoring students in their academic and creative development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver theory and practical sessions in Textile Design as per the academic curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and practical exercises.
- Teach subjects including Textile Printing, Fabric Painting, Tie & Dye, Surface Ornamentation, Embroidery, Textile Science, Fabric Textures, and Colour Theory.
- Guide students in projects, portfolio development, and practical assignments.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
- Create an engaging and motivating classroom environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
- Maintain academic records and assist in assessment and evaluation activities.
- Participate in workshops, exhibitions, seminars, institutional events, and other academic initiatives.
- Support student engagement and contribute to academic excellence.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Textile Design or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Teaching or industry experience in Textile Design is preferred.
- Strong understanding of textile processes, fabric construction, surface design techniques, and colour applications.
- Excellent practical skills and the ability to demonstrate textile techniques effectively.
- Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an academic environment.
