Job Overview:
The Senior Operations Specialist is responsible for the daily processing, reconciliation, and quality control across Clearing Operations. This role partners with internal and external stakeholders to research and resolve discrepancies, while also handling service requests and complex inquiries. The position requires strong attention to detail and sound judgment to maintain operational integrity by ensuring accurate processing, mitigating financial and operational risk, and adhering to applicable regulatory and control requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and review complex transactions.
Perform transaction accounting, reconciliation, books and record keeping, reporting, data analysis and risk and quality checks in line with defined procedures.
Validate the completeness and accuracy of documentation submissions.
Draft and manage business correspondence, ensuring all written communications adhere to company branding and formal business letter formats.
Communicate with internal partners, fund sponsors, and external vendors to execute workflow and deliver exceptional service to advisors, trading teams, and service center associates.
Apply policy and regulatory standards to identify and mitigate operational risk.
Support audits, quality reviews, and control testing.
Identify trends and errors; recommend process improvements.
Resolve escalations from internal partners with defined scope.
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in brokerage, financial services, or operations
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail with strong organizational and time‑management abilities
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a deadline‑driven environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams; experience with case management or financial systems preferred
