SENIOR CCTV TECHNICIAN
§ Position: Senior CCTV, NETWORKING, BIOMETRIC ACCESS CONTROL AUTOMATION & PA SYSTEM Technician
§ Department: Operations
§ Reports To: Team Leader / Management
Job Purpose
The Senior Technician is responsible for leading CCTV AND OTHER SECURITY PRODUCTS installation and service activities, ensuring proper installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of CCTV and related security systems. The technician is also responsible for guiding junior technicians and trainees.
Key Responsibilities
1. CCTV Installation
· Install IP and HD CCTV camera systems at residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
· Install Biometric and Access Control, PA system, EPABX, Networking, Automation ETC
· Install cameras, NVR/DVR, PoE switches, hard disks, monitors, racks, cables, connectors, and related accessories.
· Perform proper cable laying, termination, labeling, and dressing.
· Ensure cameras are installed at the correct location and viewing angle.
· Make sure all the security products installed as per design
· Configure recording, storage, motion detection, and other required settings.
2. Networking & Configuration
· Configure IP addresses, NVRs, routers, switches, and PoE devices.
· Configure remote viewing through mobile phones and computers.
· Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues.
· Understand basic LAN, IP addressing, DHCP, static IP, and port/network concepts.
3. Troubleshooting & Service
· Diagnose camera, NVR/DVR, network, power, storage, and cabling issues.
· Attend customer complaints and service calls.
· Replace faulty cameras, connectors, SMPS, PoE equipment, hard disks, and other components when required.
· Conduct preventive maintenance and system health checks.
· Maintain proper service records.
4. Team Supervision
· Lead junior technicians and trainees at installation sites.
· Allocate work and guide team members during installation and service.
· Check the quality of work completed by junior technicians.
· Train juniors on installation standards, safety, troubleshooting, and customer handling.
· Report technical or manpower issues to the Team Leader/Operations Manager.
5. Customer Handling
· Communicate professionally with customers at the site.
· Understand customer requirements and report technical requirements to the concerned team.
· Explain basic system operation to customers after installation.
· Maintain good customer relationships.
· Obtain customer confirmation/sign-off after completion of work.
6. Documentation
· Complete installation and service reports accurately.
· Record materials and equipment used at each site.
· Report additional material requirements before or during work.
· Take necessary site photographs and submit them as per company procedure.
· Update job status after completing assigned work.
7. Safety & Company Standards
· Follow electrical and workplace safety procedures.
· Use tools and equipment properly.
· Maintain company tools and equipment in good condition.
· Follow standard installation procedures and quality requirements.
· Maintain cleanliness at the work site after completing the job.
Required Skills
· Good knowledge of CCTV installation and troubleshooting.
· Knowledge of IP and analog CCTV systems.
· Basic networking knowledge.
· Ability to configure NVR/DVR and remote viewing.
· Good cable termination and testing skills.
· Ability to read basic wiring/network diagrams.
· Good problem-solving ability.
· Ability to lead and train junior technicians.
· Good communication and customer-handling skills.

Qualification & Experience
Education: ITI / Diploma / relevant technical qualification preferred. BCOM, MCOM or MBA (any managerial experience or degree will be an added advantage)
Experience: Typically 2–4+ years of relevant CCTV/security-system experience, depending on technical competency.

Senior Technician Expectations
A Senior CCTV Technician should not only be capable of doing technical work independently but should also be able to identify problems, make technical decisions, guide junior technicians, communicate with customers, and take responsibility for the complete site/job assigned to the team.

Pay: ₹8,120.00 - ₹30,000.70 per month
